PARTIALLY COLLAPSIBLE ICE BATH

Shown here with and without its removable watertight vinyl liner, the partially collapsible ice bath is fitted with two additional wheels at one end. This end can be pushed into any vehicle with a load bed that is no more than 26 inches off the ground and no less than 80 inches long. When the additional wheels take the load off the front legs of the ice bath, the operator pulls a lever that allows the legs to hinge. They flip up as the bath moves forward. The photographs here show the sequence of events, using a tabletop as a substitute for the load bed of a vehicle.

As it continues into the vehicle, the operator pulls a second lever which raises the rear legs while making use of their wheels to support the end of the unit.

Removing the ice bath from the vehicle is extremely quick and easy, as the legs flip down automatically. Two spring-loaded pins are provided to lock the legs in place, but so long as the ice bath moves over reasonably smooth terrain, the pins are not strictly necessary.
